Babies – Movie Trailer

Babies is a documentary film by Thomas Balmes, depicting the early lives of four infants growing up in Mongolia, Namibia, San Francisco and Tokyo, respectively. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States by Focus Features on April 16, 2010.

I saw the trailer for this before the movie Leap Year. It gave me baby fever! I love how the two babies in the beginning are fighting and biting each other over the plastic bottle. It goes to show that babies all over the world don’t like to share their toys…it isn’t just an American thing. Also…love the song in the trailer! Totally LOL’d at the yak thing drinking out of the baby’s bathwater!

Just saw a preview for The Babies during previews for another movie today. I’m excited to see it. I didn’t see when it’s due to come out. Anyone know?
Wu-Tang!
I’m definitely airing this in the Anthropology Club!
Aww so cute babies
I think it shows how things are different about raising children in different cultures, but also how really it shows that they’re the same. It’s ok that you’re not interested in it, but it doesn’t automatically make the movie stupid.
